Wilma Allene McCormick

Mrs. Wilma Allene McCormick, of Harriman went to be with Jesus May 1, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Oakdale. Allene's greatest joy was serving the Lord and her family like Joel 1:3. She was passionate that the gospel be passed to her daughter, granddaughter and even great grandchildren and to the many she taught in Sunday School and Bible Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents: Austin & Grace Allred. Brother: Willard Allred. Sister & brother-in-law: Ollene & James Hayes. And several infant brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 62 years: John McCormick. Daughter & son-in-law: Diane & David Mayon. Two sisters: Orba Allred & Clata Perry. Brother: Gene Allred. Granddaughters: Christy Harrison & husband Tony, Claudia Baber & husband Chris. Four grand children: Tyler and David Gresham, Emma Baber and Madie Harrison. Also 2 additional great great daughter by marriage: Kaylyn Hayes and Savanna Harrison. The family will receive friends Thursday May 3, 2012 at Davis Funeral Home, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Burnett and Bro. Vic Davis officiating. Family and friends will meet at Swan Pond Cemetery at Friday at 11:00 AM for the graveside services.
