Willie Davis

Mrs. Willie Schubert Davis, age 80 of Kingston, was ushered into heaven by her Lord and Savior Monday May 28, 2012 at Tennova Hospice in Knoxville.
She was welcomed by her husband of 57 years John W. "Dub" Davis, Sr. One granddaughter: Kristi Wolcott. One great grandson: Heath Bailey. And one great-great grandson: Madex McElhaney. Her parents: Leonard & Hazel Schubert. Two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Brenda & Robert Bailey of Chattanooga, Kathy Davis, Judy & Arlin Yeager and Jeannie & Paul Rogers, John Jr. & Teresa Davis all of Kingston. 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. 7 brothers and 1 sister.
Willie was a charter member of Liberty Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She retired from Watts Bar Nuclear Plant as a Mechanical Engineer. She also played women's league softball for Roane Hosiery Mill in the late 1940's and enjoyed genealogy.
The family will receive friends Wednesday May 30, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Griffis officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
