William Harrison Powers

Mr. William H. Powers, Jr., age 90 of Kingston passed away Monday June 23, 2014 at his home. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp and a 1947 graduate of Auburn University. He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Sally Powers. And one brother: Paul Macon. He is survived by his wife: Emma Powers. Two sons: William H. Powers, III and Dr. David Michael Powers. His sister: Sara Nelle Anderson. One step-son: Robert Stout and his wife Renee. Two step-daughters: Janie Vickers and her husband Michael and Roberta Pressley and her husband Steve. Four grandchildren: Michael Brandon Powers, Melissa Brook Whitlock, David Michael Powers and Lydia Victoria Powers. One great grandson: Grant William Whitlock. The family will receive friends Thursday June 26, 2014 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Interment will follow in Roane Memorial Gardens.
