W. Ralph Turner

Mr. Ralph Turner, age 55 of Bitter Creek passed away Saturday February 20, 2016 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born in Ft. Eustis, Virginia. Ralph worked for 10 years in the deep mines before going to work at Roane Hosiery where he worked for 17 years. He retired as a Corrections Officer from Brushy Mountain. Ralph loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ralph and Mary Turner. He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Darlene Turner. Two sons and daughters-in-law: Travis and Chanda Turner, Aaron and Leslie Turner. Four grandchildren: Dakota, Savannah, Madison and Waylon His father and step-mother: Bill and Nancy Turner. One brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Deonna Turner. Three sisters and one brother-in-law: Diane and Tom Burke, Sonia Turner and Beatrice Downing. Two nephews: William and Luke, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Wednesday February 24, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Graveside services will follow in Crab Orchard Cemetery in Oakdale.
