W. C. Bowling

Mr. W. C. "Dub" Bowling, born, June 30, 1926 in Rockwood, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday August 11, 2011 at the Roane Medical Center in Harriman, Tennessee. Mr. Bowling served his country during WWII in the Army in the Pacific Theater, where he received the Army Occupation Medal (Japan) and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a member of Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Fred and Mary Bowling of Rockwood, Tennessee. His Siblings: Edna Bowling Newcomb, Merle Bowling Pennington, and Earl Bowling. He is survived by his Wife of 64 years Mrs. Clina Goodman Bowling of Rockwood, Tennessee. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday August 12, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Pastor Charles Webb and Rev. David Goodman officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 AM in the Lane Cemetery. Military Honors will be given by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
