Vivian Elanor Gooch

Mrs. Vivian Gooch, age 75 of Lancing passed peacefully away Thursday May 26, 2016 at Life Care Center of Morgan County after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease surrounded by her loving family and friends. Vivian was a member of Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: John Earnest and Arminda Haynes. Four sisters: Pearl, Alma Joyce, Faye and Devonia. Four brothers: Dwight, Lawson, Everette and Cluster "Nub". An infant son" Darryl Wayne and grandson" Jonathan "Dougie". She leaves behind her husband of 56 years: Winford Gooch. One son and daughter-in-law: Doug and Natalie Gooch. One daughter and son-in-law: Cynthia and Daniel Conricode. Her sister: Sue Scott. Five grandchildren: Jeff, Alyssa, Evan, Jonathan and Christopher. Her best friend: Emma Newman along with many nieces, nephews and special friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Sunday May 29, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM with Pastor Josh Baldwin and Rev. Charles Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Morgan Memorial Gardens.
