Mrs. Veronica Kay Hardwick, also lovingly known as Aunt Gonca and Queenie, age 50 of Lafollette, formerly of Wartburg, passed away peacefully at her home Friday October 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father: Rommie Robert Vann, Jr. She is survived by her fiancé: Billy Darrell Evans of Lafollotte and his daughter and son-in-law: Crystal and Mike Mezner and their children. One daughter: Tiffany Hardwick. One son: J.J. Hardwick both of Oliver Springs. Her mother: Patricia Sue Vann of Wartburg And two granddaughters: McKenzie and Lainey both also of Oliver Springs. Six sisters: Sharlene Justice of Wartburg, Rhonda "Susie" Brown and her husband David of Oak Ridge, Missie Robertson and her husband Robbie, Tonya Morgan and her friend Jeff Mize, Audra Bauer and her husband Darren, and Ambie Pemberton and her husband Caleb all of Wartburg. Two brothers: Rommie Vann and Thomas Vann his wife Jennifer all also of Wartburg. Madeline Giles, who Veronica called Maddy, that was like a granddaughter to her and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other extended family as well many friends and loved ones in Lafollette. The family will receive friends Thursday October 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Beech Fork Holiness Church with Bro. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Vann Cemetery.
