Tinie Lee (Gibson) McCarroll

Mrs. Tinie Lee Gibson McCarroll, 89, went to be with her heavenly father on February 2, 2023. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Arlie and Elda Mullins Gibson of Harriman.

Sister: Nannie Lou Gilmore of Harriman.

Brother: James Gibson of Harriman.

She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the delight of her life. One of Tinie’s favorite things to do was spend time with her family, especially family meals and gatherings. She was a long time employee of Burlington Hosiery Mill and Roane Hosiery Mill. She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. She found joy in helping others and was always willing to give to anyone in need. She loved to cook and feed others.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years: Max Ray McCarroll.

2 Daughters: Patsy Shelton and Connie & Robert Smoot.

Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Adam & Pam Souther, Ashley & Jason Harris, Britney & Alex Weidman-Pedigo, and Bret Smoot.

Along with great-grandchildren: Whitley Harris, and Lilah and Lydia Wiedman-Pedigo.

Brother: Charles Gibson.

Along with many other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her nurse, Tonya, from Covenant Hospice for the care she provided to Tinie during her week of hospice.

The family will have a private graveside service. Internment will be in the Harriman City cemetery.
