Russell Ray Barefield

Mr. Russell Ray Barefield, age 60, of Harriman, passed away Monday May 16, 2011 at Roane Medical Center. He worked with Tennessee Hardwood Floors for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his mother: Flonnie Lassiter. One brother: Alva D. "Buster" Barefield. And one sister: Wilma Ann Overbee. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Tracy and Tony Sheldon of Wendell, NC. One sister and brother-in-law: Josephine "Jo" and Tom Collins of Harriman. Four brothers and one sister-in-law: Johnny and Annie Barefield of Angier, NC, Timothy Barefield of Harriman, Teddy Lassiter of Raleigh, NC and Bill Littleton of Kenly, NC. Two grandchildren: Joshuan and T.J. and two great grandchildren. Six nephews, three nieces, special nieces: Wanda Kay Robbins and Rebecca Staton. And special friends: Jeff Cates, Margie Underwood and Pat Davis. The family will receive friends Friday May 20, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Will Gouge officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
