Richard Payton Hurst

Mr. Richard Payton Hurst, also known as “Hollywood”, age 79, of Harriman, left his earthly home to be with his Lord on Friday, October 18, 2024. He served in the United States Navy and was Veteran of the Vietnam War. Richard professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Mt. Vernal Baptist Church many years ago.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Luther and Dolly Hurst

Three brothers: Paul, Jim and Junior

Three sisters: Gail, Faye and Helen

He is survived by his son: Luke (Christy) Hurst

One daughter: Susan (Tim) Ladd

Grandchildren: Bailey (Wesley) Bunch, Madelynne Hurst and Isaiah Hurst

The family would like to thank Richard’s care team and special friends: Michelle Gillis, Patty Isham and Macon Neal

The family will have a private burial.
