Mr. Richard Douglas Carter Sr., age 70, of Kingston formerly of Coalfield went home to be with the Lord Sunday January 27, 2013. He was a graduate of Coalfield High School and the University of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde & Linda Lively Carter.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Sharon Moore Carter. Two sons and daughter-in-law: Richard Jr. and John & Amy Carter. One daughter: Laura Carter all of Kingston. Brother: Kevin Carter of Knoxville Sister: Coney Lynn Mitchell of Wilington, OH. Four grandchildren: Ryne, Zachary, Logan and Emma Kay.

Graveside services will be Saturday February 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood with Rev. Ben Whittenbarger officiating.
