Reese Lynn Richardson

August 19, 2012 — August 19, 2012

Mr. Reese Lynn, "Reesie Cup" Richardson, age 45 of Hendersonville, TN, born and raised in the Joyner Community, was called home Sunday August 19, 2012 after fighting his battle with Pancreatic Cancer with his family by his side.
Reese had many interests during his life. His passions ranged from sports, baseball being his finest, and woodworking, to the thrill of fishing, hunting and farming and so much more. All of which he enjoyed teaching and sharing with his son, Michael. Reese's lifelong dream of having his own horse farm was fulfilled and he took special joy in seeing it grow with his son by his side. He served his country in the Army immediately after graduating from Wartburg Central High School and then volunteered to run military convoys in Iraq in 2005. His proudest accomplishment was raising his son Michael and watching him grow into a fine young teenager. Reese's only disappointment was not being able to see him mature into a man and have a family of his own.
He was preceded in death by his father: Archie Richardson. And one brother: Joey Richardson. His grandparents: Bill and Myrtle Morgan and Joe Albert and Ida Mae Richardson. Two special uncles: Ronnie Baker and Harvey Richardson as well as several other aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his son: Michael Jared Richardson of Westmoreland. His daughter: Erica Danielle Richardson of Newman, GA. His mother and father: Patsy Morgan Schmidt and Richard Schmidt of Hendersonville. One brother and sister-in-law: Michael D. and Jennifer Richardson of Sunbright. His special niece: Makayla Richardson. Niece and nephew: Kayla and Tyler Yokley. And a host of aunts, uncles and other family, friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends Tuesday August 21, 2012 at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. Vic Davis officiating. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in Union Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in his son's name, Michael Richardson, for his education.
