Mrs. Reba Basler Cooper, age 81, of Wartburg passed away Thursday September 22, 2016 at her home. She retired from Red Kapp Industries after many years of faithful service and was a member of Mossy Grove Baptist Church. Reba loved spending time outdoors working in her flower garden and is considered by her family to be the world's greatest cook. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Gertie Basler. Two sisters: Sue Basler and Eileen Davis. And one brother: Franklin Basler. She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Kenneth Cooper. Two sons and one daughter-in-law: Darrell and Donnie Cooper of Wartburg and Doug Cooper of San Diego, CA. Three grandchildren: Dusty Cooper of Wartburg, Joni Cooper of Knoxville and Tyler and Molly Cooper of Charlotte, NC. Three sisters and brothers-in-law: Peggy and M.L. Newberry of Chattanooga, Linda Boring of Maryville and Johnnie Melton of Wartburg. One brother: Lloyd Basler of Monterey. Two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held Friday September 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg with Pastor Jim Disney officiating. Interment will follow in Mossy Grove Cemetery.
