Pauline Clark

d. September 25, 2014

Mrs. Pauline Curtis Clark, age 88 Resident of Harriman Care and Rehab Center, formerly of Kingston, passed away Thursday September 25, 2014 at Roane Medical Center.
Preceded in death by parents Andy and Bessie Curtis, husband James (Buster) Clark, infant daughter Kimberly Kay, daughter Roseanna Clark, sisters Irine Garrett and Ruth Boles, brother Oscar Curtis.
Survived by daughter Mona Colvin of Maryville, daughter Regina Hall and husband Darrell of Kingston, daughter Karen of Harriman Care and Rehab.
Pauline was a "homebody" who dedicated her life to caring for special needs daughter Karen. Always together, Karen became her roommate at Harriman Care Center. Pauline loved to read newspapers, magazines and her beloved seasonal "Ideals" books. She often cut out comic strips, sports articles about her favorite baseball pitcher Mike Scott. Atlanta Braves and Nascar's Jeff Gordon were the articles for daughter Mona and son-in-law Doug.
Our mother loved to correspond with people whose articles she read or sometimes with those who were mentioned. She had long time friends or "pen pals" through the years. She loved to have a daughter "get me a real pretty card" to send for thanks, sympathy or congratulations. She always included her handwritten notes.
Pauline, before her stroke, had beautiful cursive writing that she always used, even grocery lists. The envelopes she addressed we will always remember because they will of course have "pretty" stamps too.
Graveside services will be held Saturday September 27, 2014 at1:00 PM in Roane Memorial Gardens with Robert Weatherford officiating.
