Mr. Otto Clarence Barnes age 85 of Harriman, entered into his eternal rest Wednesday September 21, 2016 at his home. A proud Army Veteran, he served in WWII (at 15 years of age), Korea and Vietnam. He later worked and retired from GTE Valenite in Michigan. Mr. Barnes was a member of the Disabled American Veteran Organization, American Legion, and the Lee Village Baptist Church. The family wishes to extend a warm thank you to the staff of Caris hospice. He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years: Alice L. Worley Barnes His parents: Floyd and Rose Barnes One son: Edward Lee Barnes Two brothers: Floyd and Clarence Barnes And one sister: Alyene Welch He is survived by one son: Timothy Barnes One daughter: Melba (Scott) Kastelic Grandchildren: Amy (Shaun) Howlett, Christopher Sr. (Jacklyn) Barnes, Matthew Barnes, Kevin Barnes, Wyatt Barnes, Alina Barnes, Marissa Kastelic and Thomas Kastelic Great Grandchildren: Christopher Barnes Jr., Emmy Howlett, Cassidy Barnes and Colt Barnes. Three brothers: Ernest, Jimmy, and Arnold Barnes Five sisters: Wilma Moss, Trudy Cartt, Katherine Seiber, Judith Pitcock and Barbara Buchannon,
Friend: Doris Correll.
And a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. The family will receive friends Saturday October 1, 2016 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Matt Cannon officiating. The internment will follow in the Riggs Chapel Cemetery.
