Irene Ladd, 94, of Johnson City, TN, formerly of Harriman, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Irene loved walking, working in her yard and yard-selling with her sisters. She was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church where she enjoyed being a part of the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Susie Peddicord; fourteen brothers and sisters; grand-children, Chris Ensey and Stacy Williamson; and son-in-law, Jim Embree. She was the last living member of her family of origin.


Irene is survived by eight children, Linda Embree, Ron Ladd (Teresa), Bobby Ladd (Susan), Debbie Ensey, Donna Good (Spike), Lisa Cox (Harold), Keith Ladd (Debbie), Stephanie Ladd; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; one special long-term friend, Wilma Kubas; many nieces and nephews and friends.


A graveside service for family and close friends will take place at 11:00am, Saturday, December 14th at Willard Park Cemetery in Harriman, TN with Bro. Sam Leslie officiating.


In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at South Harriman Baptist Church, 626 Ruritan Road, Harriman, TN 37748.
