Mona Alice Summers

Mrs. Mona Kirk Summers, age 83 of the Pine Orchard community in Oakdale, passed away Friday February 21, 2014 at the Bowling Green Health Care Center in Mason, Georgia. She was a member of Pine Orchard Baptist Church. Mona enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader. She retired from the Morgan County Office on Aging. She is survived by her husband of 67 years: William "Bill" Summers. Two sons and daughters-in-law: Doug and Pat Summers of Rockwood, Brad and Jeannine Summers of Macon, GA. Two grandchildren: Christy Roberts of Oakdale and Jessica Summer of Kingston. One great grandson: Jacob. Two brothers: Thomas Kirk of Knoxville and Donald Kirk of Chattanooga. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday afternoon in Pine Orchard Cemetery for graveside services with Pastor Ronnie Nickols officiating.
