Mr. Mike Marcum was called home by his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the age of 63. Mike was never without a good story of past experiences and was always a joy to be around. He spoke of fond memories of his parents and his childhood in Scott County. Mike loved his family as well as his country. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. However, Mike was more proud to be a servant of the Lord. He was a devoted member of the Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Mike is going to be dearly missed by his friends and family, but he would not want us to grieve. He has said goodbye to this world. He would tell us he has received a Promotion to Glory, and he will be waiting for us.
