Micah Hancock

Mr. Micah Hancock, age 43 of Lancing passed away Thursday March 10, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Powell. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Micah was a loving husband and a proud and loving father. He was preceded in death by his father: Phillip E. Hancock. His grandmother: Mable Conatser. His mother-in-law: Lillian Paxton. And one nephew: Daniel Howard. He is survived by his wife: Anitra Paxton Hancock. Three sons: Jared, Nathaniel and Ethan Hancock. His mother: Nancy C. Hancock. Three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Robina and Raymond Howard, Jennifer and Joey Turner and Jody Hancock. One aunt: Barbara Pile. His father-in-law: Robert Paxton. Brother and Sisters-in-law: Janet Comer, Jeff and Dean Paxton, Carol and Ronnie Diden, Annie and Ray Gardner, Greg and Jane Paxton, Jeremy and Jessica Paxton. His two special buddies: Evan Garrett and Hayden Diden. And a host of other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Sunday March 13, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Ralph Nance officiating. Graveside services will be Monday morning at 11:00 AM in Kubley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established, in care of Joella Hancock, to assist the family with expenses at Progressive Savings Bank. Donations may be made at any branch location.
