Mrs. Maude Johnson, age 86 of Harriman, passed away Tuesday August 23, 2011at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She drove a school bus for Roane County Schools for many years and often drove the band or football team to away games. Maude was a very talented and creative lady who enjoyed making things with her hands. She also loved being outside working with her flowers and flea marketing. She was preceded in death by parents: Ralph Short and Alice Wyrick Fisher. Three brothers: Keizer Short, Tom Fisher and Jim Fisher. And one sister: Margie Cantrell. She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Ben Johnson. Two sons: Tim Johnson of Knoxville and Freddie Johnson of Harriman. Two daughters: Ava Hanson also of Harriman and Michelle Johnson of Johnson City. One granddaughter: Megan Johnson of Knoxville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family, friends and loved ones. Graveside services will be Thursday August 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Roane Memorial Gardens
