Mary Elizabeth Mullins

Mrs. Mary Turner Mullins, age 85 of Harriman, went home to be with the Lord Saturday January 2, 2016 at Ft. Sanders in Knoxville after a brief illness. She was married to the love of her life for 69 years, Charles H. Mullins, who preceded her in death by 6 weeks. Mrs. Mary enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, quilting, her family, and her great grandchildren. She was also an active member of the Bible Baptist Church in Harriman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years: Charles H. Mullins Her parents: Herbert Clay Turner and Maude Hammonds Turner And one brother: Michael Leon Turner She is survived by three daughters and sons in law: Faye Preston and her husband Ray, Mary Ann Samples and Wayne, and Cathy Burdette and Mark Six grandchildren: Celeste Pelfrey and husband Rob, Casey Samples and wife Jessica, Karie Scott and husband Chris, Kelly O'Dell and husband Gene, Michael Goldston and wife Abby, and Wanda Helton. Fifteen great grandchildren One brother in law: Garland Mullins and his wife Glenna Two sisters in law: Shirley Harmon and Melba James And a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 5, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. Willard Gunter and Bro. Glen Leffew officiating. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday January 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Davis Funeral Home, Harriman in charge of arrangements.
