Margie Sue Tapp

Mrs. Margie Sue (Griffis) Tapp, age 69 of Harriman, passed away on Saturday April 11, 2020 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born January 18, 1951 to Myrtle and Brown Griffis. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Tapp also attended church at the New Life Baptist Church in Harriman. She is preceded in death by her parents: Brown and Myrtle Griffis And two brothers: Bill and Ronnie Griffis She is survived by her husband of 52 years: Dee Tapp of Harriman Four children: Baron (Cheryl) Tapp, Tonya (Chad) McCarroll, Justin Tapp all of Harriman, and Travis (Jill) Tapp of Oakdale. Eight siblings: Pearle Golden of Bowling Greene, KY, Mildred Robinson, Dorothy Patterson, Johnny (Darlene) Griffis, Scotty Griffis all of Harriman, Sally Neely of Kingston, Bo Griffis and Lynn (Brenda) Griffis of Rockwood Three brothers in law: Jerry (Becky) Tapp, David (Jan) Tapp both of Harriman, and Shawn (Lisa) Tapp of Knoxville. Eight grandchildren: Michael Tapp of Atlanta, Georgia, Zach Burkett of Nashville, Caine McCarroll of Virginia, Autumn McCarroll of New Mexico, Holden and Jake Woods of Harriman, and Tanner and Tucker Tapp of Oakdale And a host of other nieces, nephews, family and loved ones. Given current national health conditions and the family's concern for the health and well-being of others. The family will meet at Willard Park Cemetery Friday April 17, 2020 for graveside services with Bro. David Tapp and Bro. Tommy Kilby officiating.
