Lucinda Lora Maden

Mrs. Lucinda Lora Howard Maden, age 70 of Lancing passed away Monday September 14, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church where she loved to play the piano and the organ. She also enjoyed growing flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest O. and Elma Melton Howard. Three brothers: Leonard C., James R. and Ernest R. Howard. One brother-in-law: Ralph Maden. One sister-in-law: Wanda Jones Howard. And two nephews: Richard and Calvin Howard. She is survived by her husband of 40 years: Richard M. Maden. Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Melvin C. and Ruby Howard of Lancing and Royal T. and Retta Howard of Gordonsville, TN. Three sisters and brothers-in-law: Juanita F. Watson of Lancing, Rebecca R. and Jim McCormick of Smithville, TN, Rose and Tom Benzenhafer of Wartburg. Two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Raymond and Jerrie Maden of Oregon and R.B. and Mary Maden of Lancing. Lucinda loved the companionship of her many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday September 16, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Buster Armes and Rev. Doyle Nance officiating and music provided by Rev. Bill and Joan Durham and Margaret Armes. Graveside services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 AM in Kubley Cemetery in Lancing.
