Lela Ferrel Smith

Mrs. Lela Ferrel Kesterson Smith, age 69 of Wartburg, went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday April 7, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Pilot Mt. Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kesterson. And three sisters: Euna, Joyce and Ella Frances. She is survived by her loving husband: Johnny Smith. Three daughters: Kathy Smith of Rockwood, Vicki Bennett and her husband Bryan of Knoxville, Sharon Rogers and her husband Doug of Elkton, MD. One son: Steve Smith of Wartburg. Seven grandchildren: Tara, Derrick, Marisa, Steven, Mara, Kenny and Taylor. One great grandson: Gage. Three sisters: Beatrice of Oneida, Jane of Harrogate and Charlotte of Pilot Mt. One brother: Joe and his wife Jewell of Crossville. And a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and loving Pastor and best friends Charles and JoAnn Webb. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. The family will receive friends Saturday April 9, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Pilot Mt. Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Deer Lodge.
