John Franklin Matheson

Mr. John Franklin "Weasel" Matheson, age 60 of Harriman, passed away Monday March 21, 2016 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents: A.Y. and Charl Dean Matheson. Two brothers: Rick Matheson and Dwayne Hamilton. And one uncle: James Vanover.
He is survived by his wife: Jo Ann Matheson. Six step-children: James and Bobbie Forester and Marcella Copeland all of Harriman, and Richard, Marty and Billy Portwood all of Chapel Hill, TN. Five grandchildren: Trinitie Wells, Savannah Peters, Nevaeh and Emerald Forrester and Tatum Copeland. Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Les and Cheryl Matheson of Lawrenceville, GA and Mickey and Teresa Matheson of Murfreesboro. One sister: Charl Hunter of Nashville and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services will be Thursday March 24, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home, Harriman with Rev. Jimmy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
