John Marvin Kamer

Mr. Marvin Kamer, age 63 of the Pine Orchard community in Oakdale passed away Wednesday December 21, 2011at Roane Medical Center in Harriman. Marvin served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Oakdale. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Dorothy Kamer. His brother-in-law: Dean Crass. His sister-in-law: Karen Kamer. And his mother-in-law: Elsie Davidson He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Linda Davidson Kamer. His son and daughter-in-law: Jason and Terri Kamer. His daughter and son-in-law: Megan and Todd Moore. Seven grandchildren: Chelsea, Brian, Jared and Rachel Kamer, Corbin, Holden and Aubrey Moore. Five brothers: David, Dean, Edwin, Gary and Dale Kamer. One sister: Evelyn Crass and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Thursday December 22, 2011 at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. George Waldo officiating. Graveside services will be Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Pine Orchard Cemetery.
