Mrs. Joann Mee Basler, age 82 of Harriman, passed away Saturday March 7, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center. She worked at Burlington Mill for 19 years and then at Roane Medical Center for another 20 plus years as a Pink Lady. She was preceded in death by her parents: David King Mee and Annie Godsey Mee And one sister: Marjorie Ellen Hinds. She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Howard Ray Basler Two sons: Darrell Ray Basler and wife Donna, of Connecticut, and Mark King Basler and wife Angela of Harriman Three grandsons: Christopher Basler and wife Lauren of Connecticut, Bryan Basler of Connecticut, and Brandon Basler of Harriman. One brother: David King Mee and wife Marlene of Harriman And a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at the First Christian Church from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral will follow with Rev. Josh Head officiating. The family will meet in the Emory Heights Cemetery on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM for the graveside service. Donations may be made to the family.
