Jerry Dwaine Wallace

Mr. Jerry D. Wallace, age 52 of Lancing went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church for 25 years. Jerry worked cable construction for more the 35 years. He enjoyed working and restoring old cars. Jerry was a wonderful husband and father and dearly loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father: Homer Wallace. One brother: Wayne Wallace. And three nephews: Eric Wallace, Steven Wallace and Donathan Wallace. And his step-father: Sam Webb. He is survived by his wife of 27 years: Darlene Sexton Wallace. His son: Cody Wallace. His daughter: Kayla Morris. And grandson: Peyton Morris with whom Jerry took great delight in watching grow and learn while helping with various chores around home. His mother: Mabel Webb. One brother and sister-in-law: Cecil and Mota Ooten. His father-in-law: Joe Sexton. One brother-in-law: Joe and Stephanie Sexton. And two sisters-in-law: Tammy and Mike Davis and Tisha and Donald Jones. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Friday July 22, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Josh Baldwin and Rev. Charles Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilot Mountain Cemetery.
