James "JW" Walter Armes

Mr. James “JW” Armes, age 74 of Wartburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. JW was also a member of Emerald Lodge #377 F&AM in Wartburg where he served as Chaplain for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Sabe and Madie Daugherty Armes.

And one brother: Edwin Goad.

He is survived by his sister: Betty Armes.

His nephew: Eddie Goad.

Special friends: Faye and Buffy.

Along with several extended family members and a host of friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Saturday February 4, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. A Masonic service will be held at 11:00 AM followed by funeral services with Rev. Jamie Basler and Rev. Buster Armes officiating. Interment will follow in the Petros Cemetery.
