James Edward Smith

Mr. James Edward "Smitty" Smith, age 76, of Oakdale passed away Wednesday March 12, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents: Beacher and Ola Smith. And one brother: Leeper Smith. He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Sarah Daniels Smith. Two daughters and sons-in-law: Tracy and Dennis Worley, Lisa and Hershel Jackson. Three brothers: Nick, Jack and Donnie Smith. And two sisters: Cindy Smith and Diane Futrell. The family will receive friends Saturday March 15, 2014 at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Mullins and Rev. Wes Strickland officiating. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
