Mr. James Tarvel Hawn, age 78, passed away March 20, 2016 with his family by his side. Mr. Hawn was an Industrial Electrician at the K-25 and Y-12 plant where he retired with 28 years of service. He loved farming, spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. James was a member of Riggs Chapel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Tarvel and Elsie Hawn. Sisters: Bernice, Dorothy, Georgia, Jessie, Betty. Brothers: Floyd, Conner and T.J.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years: Judy Young Hawn. Five daughters and sons-in-law: Debra & Raffaele Riviera, Darla & Lynn Jones, Karen Hurst, Connie & Chris Evans, and Dana & Brian Gullett. Sister and brother-in-law: Martha & D. J. Davis. Eight grandsons, three granddaughters and one great-great granddaughter. Four sisters-in-law: Willie Goddard, Iva Boston, Gloria Henderson and Anita Newport.

The family will receive friends Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. Jim Disney and Bro. Jimmy Bankin. Graveside service will be Wednesday morning March 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.
