James Coffman

Mr. James Henry Coffman, age 80 of the Boswell Chapel community in Oakdale, passed away Monday February 17, 2025, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Rankin Chapel Baptist Church. James was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and coached Little League football in Oakdale for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Margaret Moore Coffman.

One brother: Paul Coffman.

And one sister: June Hargis.

He is survived by his wife 60 years: Bettye Smith Coffman.

One son: Dwight Coffman.

One daughter: Michelle Coffman.

One brother and sister-in-law: Donald and Susan Coffman.

Three grandchildren: Taylor, Krysti, and Caleb and his wife Sara.

Three great grandchildren: Madelin, Caden, and Camille.

Along with several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Saturday February 22, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Graveside services will follow in Rankin Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Chuck Wilber officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Brannon-Kreis American Legion Post 149 Honor Guard.
