Hoyle Larence West

Mr. Hoyle Larence West, age 68 of Lancing passed away Monday May 26, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Nashville. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Hoyle was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of Emerald Lodge #377 F&AM in Wartburg. He loved hunting, fishing, digging ginseng and riding in the mountains. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents: William R. and Lina West. Three sisters: Emily, Junie and Georgia. And four brothers: Pete, Dean, Elbert and Robert. He is survived by his wife: Janie Shannon West. Two sons and daughters-in-law: Hoyle Jr. and Christina West of Cleveland, Ohio and Chad and Jessica West of Wartburg. One daughter and son-in-law: Melissa and Jared Emmette of Clinton. And seven grandchildren. Two sisters: Beatrice Thomas and Mae Ballard. And three brothers: Emory, Mack and Wilbert West. The family will receive friends Thursday May 29, 2014 at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 8:00 PM with Rev. Houston Carroll officiating with a Masonic service to follow. Graveside services will be held Friday May 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Lane Cemetery in Lancing.
