Howard Loyal Tate

Mr. Howard ‘Spanky’ Tate, age 66 of Oakdale passed away March 13, 2021 at Renaissance Terrace after a long illness.  Spanky loved fishing, cooking and loved to make people laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Hugh Sr & Edna Tate.

Two brothers: Harold Tate and Joe David Tate.

Two sisters: Beverly Tate Briggs and Freda Jane Harper.

He is survived by son & daughter-in-law: Jason & Ketona Tate.

Two daughters & son-in-law: Andra Tate, and Megan & Matt Bales.

Two brothers & sisters-in-law: Hugh & Ruthann Tate, and Tommy & Cherly Tate.

Two sisters & brothers-in-law: Brenda & Danny Hartline, and Phyllis & Bill Weaver.

Four grandchildren: Trinity Cox, Madilynn Bales, Maverick Bales, and Jake Tate.

And many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday March 17, 2021 at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Bro. Joe Andrews officiating. Graveside services will follow in Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.
