Mr. Hillard Lewallen, age 67 of Wartburg went home to be with his Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with cancer Wednesday May 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He owned and operated Hillard's City Exxon in Wartburg for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harlan and Madge Lewallen. Two brothers: Charles and Harlan Lewallen. And one sister: Deanna Lewallen. He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Macel Goad Lewallen. Three daughters and sons-in-law: Jill and Joel Byrd, Judy and Johnny Redmon and Jodie and Larry Green Nine grandchildren: Jerrika, Bethany, Abby, Jordan, Isaiah, Brittany, Haden, Dakota and Paisley. One brother: Hurst Lewallen. One sister: Merle Morgan. Special friends: Sam Steelman and Tom and Judy Crowley of Bonita Springs, Florida, his riding buddies: Larry Briggs and Lawrence Settles and a host of other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Friday May 13, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. T.J. Aytes and Rev. Tim Ramey officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 AM in Annadell Cemetery.
