Harold Lawrence Nitzschke

Mr. Harold L. Nitzschke, age 89 of Sunbright, went home to be with the Lord Friday April 22, 2016 at his home. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Harold was a faithful member of the Sunbright United Methodist Church as well as a 50 year member of the New Faith Lodge #768 F&AM and the Sunbright O.E.S. Chapter 303. He was preceded in death by his parents: John H. and Isabella Anderson Nitzschke. His brother: Roland Nitzschke. Five sisters: Jennie Nitzschke, Lola Henry, Caroline Baumstaik, Norma Freels and Evelyn Galloway. And three grandsons: Lucas Nitzschke, Dustin Nitzschke and Marc Alan Nitzschke. He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Josephine Acres Nitzschke. Three sons and daughters-in-law: John W. and Connie, Stevon H. and Betty, Richard A. and Marta Nitzschke. One sister and brother-in-law: Pauline and Paul Mayes. Grandchildren: Daryl and Carry, Richard and Stevon Nitzschke, Dana Byrd, Stace and Eddie Duncan, and Shannon Jo. Great Grandchildren: Dalton, Dawson and Holly Nitzschke, Zack Nitzschke, Cody Copeland, Brenton and Kynlie Duncan, Leland Nitzschke, Brantley Young. And three great-great grandson: Colton and Tagen Nitzschke, and Tatum Copeland. The family will receive friends Sunday April 24, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Methodist Family Life Center in Sunbright. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Tom Robins, and Rev. David Acres officiating. Graveside services will be Monday morning at 11:00 AM in Sunbright Cemetery.
