Georgia Tarter

Mrs. Georgia Myers Tarter, age 92 of Harriman, gained her wings on Thursday February 14, 2019. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and she was also a faithful member of the Bazeltown Baptist Church until her health declined. Mrs. Tarter loved gardening and cooking for her family.
She was born on April 27, 1926 to the union of Wilmer and Ather Myers.
She is preceded in death by three brothers: Willard, Clarence and Charles (Petey) Myers
Five sisters: Blanche Wilkerson, Mabel Wilkerson, Myrtle Gallaher, Eleanor Willis and Jessie Moore
One son: Henry S. Tarter Jr.
She is survived by her children: Brenda Kirk of Oak Ridge, TN, Darlene Jennings of NC, Fredrick "TJ" (Dawn) Johnson of KY, Betty Malloy (Eric) of Kingston, TN and Jay Harvey Tarter of Nashville, TN.
Her devoted and special granddaughter: Tonja Fugate of Oak Ridge, TN
Devoted caregiver: Maxine Martin
Special friends: Laura Ann Winton and Nathan (Jan) Kilgo of Harriman, TN
Previous caregivers: Wanda Cooper, Katherine Bazel and Patricia Ray.

And a host of other nieces, nephews friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Monday February 18, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. The interment will be immediately following the funeral service in the Bazeltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
