George Roy "Sonny" Keys

Mr. George Roy "Sonny" Keys, Jr., age 75 of Sunbright passed away Wednesday May 9, 2012 at his home. Sonny was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Navy where he served as an Aviation Mechanic after more 20 years of honorable service. He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Carolyn McCoy Keys. One son: Samuel Layne Keys. Three daughters: Natalie Dawn Olmstead, Pamela Marie Henderson and Joy Michelle Keys. Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday May 17, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg, with Rev. John Slater officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Naval Reserve, Knoxville, the Roane County Veterans Military Memorial Honor Guard and Mr. Keys grandson, SSgt. Brad Key, US Army.
