Mr. George Franklin Baumgartner
, age 87, of Dayton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Bright Eastern Sky Farm, the home of his daughter Linda and her husband Cecil "Bill" Bright. Mr. Baumgartner was the first born child of Mr. Roy and Mrs. Gladys Marsh Baumgartner. He served his country honorably for 35 years in both the United States Air Force and in the Ohio National Guard. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his parents:
Roy and Gladys Marsh Baumgartner
Two brothers: Glen and Carl Baumgartner
And one sister: Ruth Baumgartner Stamey
He is survived by his
wife of 67 years: Delta Verdean Baumgartner
One son and daughter in law: Kenny and Ana Karla Baumgartner of TN
Two daughters and sons in law: Linda and Bill Bright of OH and Leah and Brian Wickham of CO
One sister and brother in law: Margaret and Duke Smallen of TN
Eight grandchildren
Eight great grandchildren
And a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
The family will
receive friends on Thursday April 19, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, in Ohio. The funeral service will be following the visitation at 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends again on Saturday April 21, 2018
at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. The graveside service will follow in the Willard Park Cemetery.
