Frederick Johnson

Frederick Ervin Johnson, affectionately known as "TJ", was born June 11, 1954 to the late Samuel Johnson and Georgia Meyers. God chose to call him home to live with him on August 20, 2024.

He was raised in the Bazeltown Community and was saved at a young age while attending the Bazeltown Baptist Church. He later became a member of the Rogers Memorial Baptist Church, Knoxville and upon relocating to Cadiz, Kentucky, he united with the Churchill Baptist Church.

Frederick is a 1972 graduate of Harriman High School. He later took courses at ITT Technical Institute, Knoxville.

Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S Army and received an honorable discharge serving on the USA Retired Huey Cobra Pilot.

In his spare time, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, keeping abreast of daily activities on his computer, and spending time with family and friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Yvette Dawn Crute Johnson and Johnie Mae Johnson; brother, Henry Tarter Jr., and daughter, Natasha Marie Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are three sisters, Brenda Kirk, Oak Ridge, TN, Darlene Jennings, North Carolina, and Betty Malloy (Eric), Kingston, TN; brothers, Jay Harvey Tarter, Nashville, TN, Victor Tarter, Kojak Tarter, and Brent Tarter, all of Harriman, TN; devoted stepson, Ezekiel (Zeke) Conaway; stepsons and stepdaughters, Joshua Crute and Feda Conaway, all of Cadiz, KY, Shelia Guest, Jamie Walker, and Avery Kyle, all of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Kiyhea Conaway, Cadiz, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 11:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman. A funeral service will follow. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 2:00 P.M at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville, TN.
