Ellen Louise "Louise" Currier

Mrs. Ellen Louise Rutledge Currier, age 88 of Harriman, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday October 4, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, but most of all a Christian lady that loved her Savior. She attended both Edgewood Baptist Church in Kingston and Mt. Pisgah Baptist church in Oliver Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years: Fate Jr Currier. Son: David Currier Parents: William "Bill" and Martha Rutledge. Grandson: Garey Lowe. Great grandson: Ryan Daniels. Seven brothers: Ira, Willie, Ewell " Red", James "Jim", Clarence, Robert and Edward. Sister: Thelma Wheeler. She is survived by her three sons: Teddy and Janice Currier of Harriman, Vernon and Gina Currier of Pine Orchard and Mark and Kim Currier also of Harriman. Daughter-in-law: Rhonda Currier of Harriman. Sister: Una Grace Currier of Harriman. Four sisters-in-law: Partha Sarten and Ruth Currier of Harriman,Daphne Ruthedge of Corbin, KY and Alice Rutledge-Bitzer of Lake Placid, FL. 12 granchildren, 34 great grandchildren 4 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and newphews. The family will receive friends Thursday October 6, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Garvin Walls officiating.
