Edna Alyene Welch

Mrs. Edna Alyene Welch, age 81 of Oakdale passed away Sunday August 23, 2015 at Roane Medical Center. She attended Bible Believers Church in Harriman and took every opportunity she got to share the message of Christ and the testimony of her salvation. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lloyd Lee Welch. Her parents: Floyd and Virginia Rose Barnes. And two brothers: Clarence Edward and Floyd Russell Barnes. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Elmer and Brenda Laymance of Wartburg, David Welch of Arlington, VA, Darlene and John Scotton of Dover, DE, Danny and Patty Welch of Brooking, OR, Roy Welch of Oakdale and Lisa and David McGiffen of Alton, IL. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Four brothers: Otto, Ernest, Arnold and Jimmy Barnes. Five sisters: Katherine Seiber, Judith Pitcock, Trudy Cartt, Barbara Buchanan and Wilma Moss. And a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Friday August 28, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Hughes officiating. A private graveside service will be held.
