Mr. Donald Ledbetter, age 63 of Rockwood went home to be with the Lord on Sunday April 11, 2021 at his sister’s home. Donald was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. He gained a professional status building new furniture and antiques. He was formerly employed by La-Z-Boy, Hixson Upholstery and Castro Convertibles. Donald loved racing, Nascar in particular. He also loved golf and shooting pool. He was a wonderful man who was always willing to help anyone in need. Donald loved his family and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Junior and Betty Ledbetter
And two siblings: Debbie Webb and Danny Ledbetter.
He is survived by three children: Christopher, Kim and Jeremy Ledbetter
Five grandchildren: Chase, Chandler, Ayannah, Bryson and Chloe
One great grandchild
One sister: Diane (Johnny) Turpin
One brother: Dennis Ledbetter
And a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
From Mrs. Diane, Dennis and Chris Ledbetter: “I was honored to care for my bother in his last 6 weeks. I was thankful to have spent that much needed time with him. He will be missed but I know I’ll see him again one day, showing him what love is all about. A special thank you goes out to Summer for all the love and care she showed as she helped with Donnie. Also, thank you to our cousin, Glenna Donnell and to two special families, Lonnie and Cindy Phillips and Dwight and Trish Edington for always showing Donnie how much they all loved him. You will never know how much this has meant to us. Please continue to keep us in your prayers during the next several days.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 14, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman. The body will lie in state in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Thursday April 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. At Noon we will leave, going in procession to Old Mt. Pisgah Cemetery for the graveside service.
