Chester Eugene Pressley

Mr. Chester E. Pressley, age 72 of Harriman, went home to be with the Lord Monday July 4, 2011at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. He worked at the Chamberlain Memorial Hospital in Rockwood and at the Roane County Courthouse. Chester was a God loving man who loved to sing the gospel. He enjoyed cooking and was best known for his chicken and dumplings. Chester always had a smile on his face. He loved life and enjoyed fishing and flea marketing. He never met a stranger because he loved to talk to everyone. Most of all, Chester loved his family and taught us that family means everything. He was preceded in his parents: Dewey and Pearl Pressley. One great grandson: Barrett Logan Davis and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Barbara Pressley. Three sons: Eddie Pressley and Jenna Miller, Tony and Michelle Pressley and Sammy Griffith. Five daughters: Teresa Davis and John Newman, Tina and Charles Foland, Anita and William Lee, Loretta Wallace and Ronnie Duncan and Katie Bryant. Two brothers: Jimmy and Betty Pressley and Robert and Nina Pressley. One sister: Wilma Keeny. Seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Thursday July 7, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home with Bro. James Pressley officiating. Interment will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
