Mr. Charles Martin "Marty" Thornton, age 70, of Harriman, passed away Monday November 26, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a Vietnam veteran having served tours with both the United States Army and Navy.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Five brothers And one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Bonnie McCartt Thornton. Two step-daughters: Anita Loseth and her husband Chad of Sioux Falls, SD, and Randi Jackson and husband Jack of Beacon Falls, CT. One sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Ray Ryan of Oliver Springs. And a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the family home.
