Betty Lee Giles

Mrs. Betty L. Giles, age 73 of Harriman, went to be with the Lord Tuesday March 29, 2011 at Roane Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Betty retired in 1997 from the Harriman City Hospital after 38 years of dedicated service. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will always be remember for her kindness and compassion to friends and anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her parents: William David Underwood and Nannie Mae Abston. Two husbands: Kenneth E. Plemons and William " Bill Ed" Giles. One sister: Virginia Schubert. And three brothers-in-law: Bobby Schubert, Terrance Paul Luffman and H.M. Giles. She is survived by one son: David W. PLemons and his fiancé Valerie Doby. One brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Bobbie Underwood. One sister: Joyce Luffman. Two grandsons: Zachery and Alex Roberts. Her former daughter-in-law and friend: Judy Plemons. And a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones. She is also survived by her special best friend: Clara McNew. The family will receive friends Saturday April 2, 2011 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Graveside services will follow in the Harriman City Cemetery.
