Ms. Avis Lenore Hogan, age 89 of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away Friday March 1, 2013 at Roane Medical Center while in Tennessee. Avis enjoyed going to bingo and casino's, reading, card games and puzzles. She was a member of the VFW William McKinley Post # 231, Women's Auxiliary in Chicago, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Sara Connors Leonhart.
She is survived by eight children and their spouses: Loretta and Marvin Pienta, Edith and Charles Hodel all of Naples, FL, William and Faye Ehrl of Metairie, LA, Diane Spizzirri of Chicago, IL, Robert Hogan of Oakdale, TN, Michael and Bertha Hogan of Evanston, IL, John and Mary Hogan of Oakdale and Patrick and Susan Hogan of Romeoville, IL. Nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
