Alan Craig Williams

Mr. Alan Craig Williams, age 59 of Sunbright passed peacefully from this world to his heavenly home Sunday October 5, 2014. Craig was a loving brother and uncle and was a devoted friend to countless people. He graduated from Oakdale High School and attended college at Roane State and the University of Tennessee. Craig dedicated 35 years to his career at Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary where he attended the rank of Captain in security and Unit Manager in Treatment. He was an avid U.T. Volunteer football and basketball fan and would always greet you with, "How about those Vols!" He was preceded in death by parents: Joe Williams and Marian Nance Worley. And his step-father: Doyle Worley. His brothers: Mike and Keith Williams and Jack Worley. He is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Karen and John Coaker, Julie Halk and Geraldine and Johnny Sandifer and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle Craig "Craiger" deeply. Craig is also survived by his extended family, The Wilkies, and friends too numerous to mention whose lives he touched. The family will receive friends Tuesday October 7, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. William H. Young officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM in Roane Memorial Gardens.
